From the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay to the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, I moved to Harrisonburg to finish my undergraduate degree in graphic design. After falling in love with the community here, I quickly found my place as a freelancer and gallery director.
First learning cursive before print, my love for type began at an early age. I used to sit and write the same word over and over again to perfection, which is something I still find myself doing today. The way one word is handwritten can speak volumes about intent and emotion in comparison to the typed word. Incorporating hand drawn type and illustration in design adds a humanistic element that is intensely relatable.
I'm currently happily employed at Watermark Design.
